New golden to love

Hi,
Some of you know I lost my Tessa at age 1 year to kidney disease this year. I cherished every minute with her and learned so much from her.
Not only do I think of her and miss her daily, but her loss also left a huge crater in my heart where I had revived my love for a dog, and especially a golden retriever.

I believe I was extremely fortunate to connect with Beth Johnson in Wisconsin, and brought my Ellie home this August 12th. She will be 10 weeks old Monday, and is settling in great! Beth did show me the 4 certificates for both parents, they were not all on the OFA site.

Oddly, Ellie came home on the same date (12 August) that Tessa came home the previous year.
It is already clear that little Ellie has a very different take on her world and will be teaching me a lot about what works best with her.

I am so happy to have a pup underfoot again, although we are going to work hard on her desire to nip quickly!
Does anyone have Any favorite techniques there, besides removing myself, offering a toy or chewy, and practicing not nipping and being rewarded...?

I will attempt to post a photo, but odds are it will be sideways - if anyone can point me to the steps to get it inserted correctly, please do so!

Thanks for all the support this summer and valuable advice!
Heather

Congrats! She's very cute. If you resize your photo to "thumbnail size" they will usually post in the correct orientation.

Posting pics on the Forum is easier than you might think.

Where do you have your pictures saved-laptop(computer), photo website, on your phone?

Click "Go Advanced"-if your pictures are saved on laptop/computer, click the "paperclip" icon, a window comes up where you can browse your files, select the file, then upload.

You can post more than one picture at a time, be sure to check the "Attachment Key" below the area for uploading pictures. There's a list of files that are accepted and file size. If you are having trouble with pictures loading or loading sideways, the picture may be too large and the size will need to be reduced.

Click Preview Post prior to submitting your post to see if your pictures have loaded.

If you're using a Photo Website, click the "postcard/picture" icon. A Window opens up, copy the URL of your photo, then paste in the box. Then select OK, again you can preview your post prior to submitting it.

If you are using either your phone or tablet and using the Tapatalk app, let me know. There are different instructions for it.

Here is a link to the Forum FAQs which covers how to use the Forum-

I'm so happy for you, too. Having a new pup does help your heart to heal. She'll never replace your Tessa, but you will love her just as much.

So, Tessa never left you and just made a detour to join you exactly on the same date with a healthy body to write the remaining chapters of a golden story. From now on , all will be beautiful as Ellie is ........
