It is Amazing

I b forum that is not on Face Book, and it is amazing how many own both a Pyr and a golden.. They are so different in so many ways. We often talk about this. Many own 2 or more Pyrs and that is all they have. Then others own 1 or more Pyrs plus another breed and it seems the breed most common is the golden. Two great dogs. I have had 6 goldens and 3 Pyrs.

Pyrenees are so beautiful, I have never seen one in person, only pictures.
The sound like wonderful dogs.

Your post is timely. I was just chatting with a fellow Clumber Spaniel owner and we were laughing at how many of us own a Clumber and a Golden. I think Goldens make wonderful companion dogs to most any other kind, gentle breed (like the Pyrenees, in your case.)

Great Pyrenees are very ancient dogs . Travelling from Central Asia than slowly reaching to Pyreeneses.Even the Akbaş from Turkey is actually a Pyreenese. However, each country claims its own despite they all arrived from central asia. All the shepherd and mountain dogs have great personality such as Barnese or St. Bernard. Very loyal companions. A version of them is the Newfoundlands. This is the Akbaş ( called white head) version of Pyrneese. Big heads, big hearts let's say. I love big heads!!!
