Think I Have The Answer

I have been staying so tired that I fall asleep almost as soon as I sit down. Now since Oct. I have been mostly having to wait on hubby hand and foot due to surgery on one foot twice, and then the other foot. I have sciatica which doesn't help. I figured I was just over doing it with taking care of Jerry, the dog, myself, etc. Well, I had my blood work down lat week and will see the doctor on Friday . It is for my 3 months check, tho been 6 month since I had it done.

I can get the results from the lab on my computer and I did so today. My A1C was to high, but has been for a whole. Also, my anemia persists. BUT the thing I think is going to be the boogey bear is my thyroid. From what I read, it should be between .40 and 4.0. Lat time it was 2.59. This time is is .05. Looks like my thyroid med is going to have to be increased.

Well, sure glad you were able to figure out what was ailing you. The thyroid is nothing to mess around with. Ive heard horror stories about people with their thyroid out of wack. Take care of yourself.

Hope you feel better! Vitamin D deficiency can also contribute to fatigue.

I take Vitamin D and vitamin C per primary doctor, cranberry caps twice daily per kidney doctor, Flax seed oil caps twice daily per eye doctor, B complex and iron for anemia daily per primary doctor, magnesium for leg cramps per primary doctor, garlic cap for cholesterol and milk thistle cap for liver on my own, but doc says fine.

My heart doc has me on one baby aspirin each day, plus one blood pressure pill which is for my heart, not my BP. Take thyroid tab first thing each morning and then eat some 45 minutes to hour later. Take one tab for cholesterol, 2 glipizide for diabetes a day, 1 Victoza injection for diabetes each day, and 6 Gabapentin caps for my sciatica each day. Even most of my OTC are prescribed by doctors, and the two that aren't, the doc agrees it is fine to take them. Seems ot me I have forgotten something--oh year, the requip for the horrid leg cramps I get at night. It is actually used for Parkinsons, but works on leg cramps also.

I am 33 months into the projected last 18 to 24 months of life, according to the Hospitalist that oversaw my treatment in August 2016 when my health crashed down around my ankles. Diabetes was the root cause.

Nine months ago I received a Dexcom G6 continuous blood glucose monitor. It has changed my life. Literally. From 170 units of Lantus per day to 24 units per day of Lantus and about 54 units per day of Humilog. With few "highs" above 220, and an extremely few number of "lows" below 60. The trend analysis function allows me to act, rather than react. My last A1C was 7.1, the previous was 11 (Aug 2018), and the Aug 2016 was 12.2 .

High blood sugar affects all other systems. I feel better than I have in 8 years or more. Honestly, I have been in bad health so long that I don't remember being in better health since before Daughter was born 37 years ago.

Rx strength Omega3 and over-the-counter CoQ10 are essential for my general health. I can feel a difference in vitality when I miss taking them for a few days.

A year ago I was doubtful I would see my grandson make Eagle Scout by next Jan when he turns 18. Now I believe I will see the new, 26 mos old, grandson graduate from high school.
