Soem of my Eater Decorations
What with Jerry's foot surgery 3 weeks ago and me having to wait on him hand and foot as he is not allowed to walk around, and me with the brace on my hand for the broken finger (from dog attack) plus nerve damage in that hand, I didn't think I would be able to get my Easter decorations up. But how can I not put up all the cheerful, items, so I did it and so glad I did.
In the first one is my desk top and the pink bunny in the center was given to my older son (now 52) by his teacher when he was in the 4th grade, making it some 43 years old. The blue and green plastic bunnies on the end were party favors we did up for older son's Easter party when he was in 2ed grade and youngest not started school yet. That would make them like 45 years old.
The yellow Eater baskets in the bathroom and on the table in hall are 42 years old, one belonging to each son. The green cover on the end table, I made it for a round table about 40 years ago, as I did the one on the coffee table. Just used different color felt, rickrack, embroidery thread, etc. Have lighted village on the mantle (shots of both ends) and above the TV. The little tea set was given to me by my DIL 21 years ago. The lop erred rabbit on the table--when i got it I had a mini lop eared rabbit whose coloring was just the opposite--white where this one is gray, gray where this one is white. And there is my "seasonal tree" that I do up for each holiday with wild life in between holidays. Have stuff on all the doors and some walls, but didn't take pictures
My decorations range for cheap dime store stuff to really nice Fritz & Floyd, Hallmark, Danbury mint to home made. Each one of them is special to me. If you notice, in one of the entertaimmetn center pictures, there is one of my Honey with bunny ears on, looking at Easter basket full of plastic eggs. That stays our year round becaue I love it. Also, there is a plush golden with bunny hears on on one of the shelves.
